SUMMER 2021
** RICHMOND DISTRICT SPECIAL REGISTRATION **
Hey Richmond District! Thanks for letting us share your neighborhood! We have a limited time, limited quantity enrollment just for you.
Special registration is now closed. You can still register below or on our general Two Wheelers Club page.
For residents of zip codes 94121 and 94118 ONLY
14 June through 13 August, 2021
The information below is our current best guess at how summer 2021 will look. This page may be updated as more information is available from the City/County.
What is Two Wheelers Club
Two Wheelers Club is for kids who want to learn to ride, improve on their fundamentals, or gain the confidence and stamina needed for adventure riding. The emphasis of TWC is obtaining the balance and coordination needed to ride on two wheels, mastering starting, stopping, and controlled forward movement, and gaining confidence in riding skills before tackling the more challenging rides of Adventure Riding Camp.
TWC is for Level 1 – 3 riders entering grades K – 3 only. We discourage enrollment of riders above these levels who are too young for Adventure Riding Camp – they will not be sufficiently challenged on their bike during the camp week.
TWC is a small camp – a maximum of 12 kids with four coaches and one assistant (CIT). Kids in TWC may be just learning to ride or improving their fundamentals. With this small group, as much individual attention as possible can be provided to each rider to ensure skills development.
For children beyond 3rd Grade still needing to learn or refine their basic riding skills, please contact us about Private Lessons. We find it’s easier for older kids to learn one-on-one with a coach rather than with the younger riders of Two Wheelers Club.
CAMP OPTIONS
- FULL-DAY Two Wheelers is a full-day camp. Hours are 8:30 to 4:00 daily. Lunch option available.
- THREE-WEEK sessions only Registered children must attend the first week of camp; enrollment will not be permitted for any child not able to participate in the first week.
- Session 1: 14 June – 2 July
- Session 2: 6 July – 23 July
- Session 3: 26 July – 13 August
- AFTERNOON EXTENDED CAMP If allowed, Extended Camp hours are 4:00 to 5:30 daily. Extended Camp will NOT be offered at registration; we will notify all registered families if it becomes available and provide registration options at a later date.
- FIELD TRIP If we get authorization from the health department to pack kids in a bus we’ll plan for one out-of-town field trip per session.
DAILY SCHEDULE
Each day of the session provides a mix of on-bike training and practice and off-bike opportunities to play and put aside learning to ride for a while. The day’s schedule is flexible, allowing the kids and coaches to figure out what’s best at any given time – some groups of kids are eager to ride as much as possible while others are comfortable with a more relaxed pace. We anticipate the three-week session will result in accomplished riders before too long, allowing for full-day riding adventures during the second and third week of the session.
The schedule for a typical day is:
- 8:30 to 9:00 Arrival and check-in.
- 9:00 to 9:30 Warm-ups to make sure everyone’s comfortable and ready to get started.
- 9:30 – 12:00 Each day’s bicycling activities begin with a bike and helmet check. The rest of the morning is spent in 30 to 45 minute skills training sessions, with snack, restroom and play breaks between each session.
- 12:00 to 1:00 Lunchtime, free riding.
- 1:00 – 3:30 During the afternoon we usually leave the clubhouse area for an adventure in the neighborhood, whether by bike or on foot. There are many things to discover nearby, including other area parks, nature trails in the Presidio, and sometimes even Baker Beach.
- 3:30 – 4:00 Story and wrap-up. Each day ends with a quiet period devoted to reading a bike-themed story and discussing what was learned during the day. Any remaining time is devoted to free play until pick-up.
- 4:00 Pick-up.
- 5:30 Extended Camp pick-up, if allowed.

Registration Process
We encourage use of the Payment Plan option found within the online registration process. Due to possible pandemic-related uncertainties about 2021 summer camp operations, paying a deposit and waiting for later full payment may make potential refunds or program changes more manageable.
Please read the entire Registration documentation once you enter the online ActivityHero system. The waiver and prompts may clarify some questions before you register. We assume all registration details are understood by all registering families. See also the How To Register section below.
Discounts & Financial Aid
- Sibling enrolled during the same session and location: 10% discount
- One, 50% scholarship is available per session. Apply ASAP via ActivityHero.
Refunds
Click here for our general refund policy. Program-specific details:
- Notification deadline: Refund requests must be received four weeks or more prior to the beginning of the session
- A 7.5% administrative fee will be withheld from any eligible refunds
- See general refund policy for other withholdings
- Withdrawal from camp during the Session, for whatever reason, will not be refunded
- Registrations from outside 94121 or 94118 zip codes will not be refunded.
Transfers & Changes
Changing sessions after you’ve registered may be possible if space is available. Changing to a session that’s full will result in your name being placed on the wait list in the order it was received – if space does not open in this case, no refund or credit will be provided. After May 1, changes to open weeks will be assessed a transfer fee of $40, payable before transfer is confirmed.
Friends & Siblings
We will try to accommodate friends or siblings who wish to ride together. However, for safety’s sake we need to make sure everyone is riding in the best group for their ability or that more advanced riders know that they won’t be riding to their full potential if they want to stay with a friend or sibling who’s a less skilled rider. If you’re registering your child along with a friend for the same week(s) and wish to ride together, please let us know.
Wait List
If you see “Join Waitlist” in the Registration link below that session has filled but you can add your child’s name to the wait list. Open spaces will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. We don’t know if openings will become available, but if a space opens we will begin contacting wait list families immediately in order of registration. If you decline or respond after 24 hours of notification you will be removed from the wait list for that particular week.
Enrollment & Attendance
All participants must attend the first week of the session, per City/County of SF requirements; participation will not be allowed for kids not in attendance during the first week of the session. We do not provide a pro-rated registration fee for partial-session enrollment.
Registration Records
Please complete your child’s online registration records in full when registering. You have an option to complete records later. However, records not complete by 15 May may result in cancellation of your registration and loss of 20% of your registration fee in the cancellation refund.
Age Limits
We cannot make exceptions to our age/grade limits. Ineligible registrations may be cancelled with no refund.
Schedule and events are subject to change. Minimum registration of 10 participants per week is required.
- Sign up for the lunch option when you register for camp.
- Sorry, no substitutions available. The sandwich type you choose will be provided each day of each week; we’ll check with you about changing sandwich types for the second and third weeks.
- Week-long option only; day-at-a-time option not available.
- Cost: $150/session
- We still recommend including a few snacks in your kid’s backpack. No camp eats like Wheel Kids!

- Add to Cart or Join Waitlist
- When you know what session you want simply scroll through the Registration links below.
- If you see one of the options below, registration is open. If you don’t see one check when registration opens; often we’ll prepare a registration link before opening day. If you see “Filling up fast” before registration opens it’s only because we have limited enrollment availability, not because others have pre-registered.
- Add to Cart: go for it – the session is available for registration
- Join Waitlist: the session is full but has a waitlist in case of cancellations or expansion
- Scroll down, choose your session, and go!
