HOW TO REGISTER

The following instructions and tips may help prepare you for registering for a Wheel Kids San Francisco program.

Online Registration

Most of our programs use Active for online registration. Active offers a convenient platform for registering for our programs and those of many other providers in the Bay Area and beyond.

Important: although our programs use Active for registration, you must initiate your registration process through our website.

Before you register

Our programs usually sell out very quickly and you’ll be stressed about finishing your registration as fast as possible. Be prepared in advance to make the process easier.

  1. Do you have the right program or event?
    • Investigate our web pages thoroughly to find the right program for your child. The list of ’em is on the Quick Links on this page.
    • Not sure: see our rider skills categories for helpful hints about what programs are right for different skills, or our Programs page for brief descriptions.
  2. Know your options & requirements
    • Some programs, such as clubhouse-based summer camps, may have a lunch or afternoon extended camp option. Be ready to include any options you want when you register.
    • Some programs may have specific bike, equipment, or travel requirements. Be sure you know these and are ready for them when you register.
  3. Read all the forms!
    • There’s a lot of important information embedded in the registration forms. Be sure to scroll through the Terms & Conditions especially; not all of it will show up on your screen without scrolling. We assume you’ve read and marked the registration forms accordingly.
    • Know the cancellation and refund policy in advance. These are available in general form here, and most programs will list specific details if pertinent on their program page.

  4. Time limit
    • Once you initiate your registration by choosing “Add to Cart” and proceed to checkout in the Active window you will have 10 minutes to complete the process.
    • You may complete registration records in full or partially; if you opt for partial completion we strongly recommend finishing records as soon as possible, even immediately after you receive your registration confirmation. We rely on full records for organizing our programs and have penalties for incomplete records.
  5. Returning families
    • We’re using a new online registration system so your registration fields will not pre-populate from previous registrations.
  6. Add to Cart or Join Waitlist
    • After you click the Register Now button and enter the Active system you’ll see a listing of Sessions.
    • If you see one of the options below, registration is open. A message will be onscreen if no Sessions are open for registration.
      • Add to Cart: go for it – the program is available for registration
      • Join Waitlist: the program is full but has a waitlist in case of cancellations or expansion
