AUTUMN 2021 ONE-DAY CAMPS

Please note the location of these camps may not be at our Richmond Clubhouse facility. See details below.

LARKSPUR BY FERRY

Thursday 11 Nov. – Veterans Day

Our day starts with a short ride along the Embarcadero, starting at our Pier 40 meeting place. We’ll gradually ride to the Ferry Building where we catch the ferry to Larkspur Landing. Once we land in Marin there are numerous riding opportunities. Typically we ride along the sloughs and canals to Corte Madera Town Park, then playground-hop through Larkspur neighborhoods on the way back to the ferry. Other times we’ll ride through the bike tunnel into San Rafael and maybe make our way all the way around to San Anselmo. No matter where we ride, we end the day back at Pier 40 for pick-up. This is a full-day camp.

  • Where: Drop off and pick up at Pier 40 (near South Beach Park). Parking can be a challenge in the afternoon so please give yourself extra time.
  • Who: This camp is best for Level 4 and 5 skill levels. Level 6 riders may not feel fully challenged but are welcome to attend. Grades 1 – 5.
    • Please review our skill level descriptions carefully.
    • Registrations for kids Level 3 and below will be cancelled with no refund.
  • Schedule: 9:00 – 5:00; afternoon extended camp available until 5:30.
  • Cost: $125/day + $20 ferry fee.
  • Bike: please be sure your child’s bike is tuned and ready to ride.
  • Registration: Coming soon.
  • Rain: We ride; please be sure your child is properly outfitted (self and bike) for a rain ride.

PLEASE NOTE: These are bicycling- and event-oriented adventures for kids in 1st grade and above who are Level 4 and above (please see our Rider Skills Categories for details). Some one-day camps will feature challenging riding and may not be appropriate for very young riders, newer riders or single speed bikes. Most one-day camps consist of a single group of riders of different skill levels; unless the program includes a specified Level 6 (advanced rider) option it should be anticipated that more advanced riders will be riding at the same pace and on the same routes as less experienced riders. Drop-off and pick-up locations vary. One-day camps may not use a clubhouse facility; bikes and other belongings must be taken home daily. Details available in camp descriptions above.
